WHAT I NEED - HOW YOU CAN GET IN ON THE ACTION

My show ‘Noah James Saunders’ at the Marietta Cobb Museum has been a smashing success! In thirty years I have never had a show receive so many accolades from the public and mentions in the press.  And the call t6To produce a solo museum show of this caliber I needed to raise $5,561. And thanks to the incredible generosity of my friends I was able to raise $5,215. I now need to reach my goal and raise the remaining $346 by the 12th of June in order to cover the cost of transporting my art back to Athens.

Having a solo show at a museum that is receiving so much attention in the press, affording me the platform to describe in depth my journey as an artist, and tell the world ‘what I am all about’ - has created the perfect opportunity for me to introduce myself and my art to galleries, curators, and museums across the country and indeed around the world! To take hold of this perfect moment I need to extend my fundraiser through the month of June by another $1,700 to cover my living costs as I do the deep dive administrative work that work requires. Taking my total need $1,7346.

Can you help me get there by donating to the cause?

The Need

A month ago I awoke to a dozen missed calls and texts. It turns out that a renowned Atlanta artist who saw my show had declared herself a champion of my art and wrote the Atlanta Journal-Constitution imploring them to review my show. It was an AJC reporter who had been calling. She gleefully explained that this was the first time in here career that someone other than the showing artist had reached out to her to review an art show.  The resulting one and half page feature piece describes in detail the story of my thirty year creative practice.

This creates the perfect time to act! As my feature piece, along with my interview on NPR (both linked below), my new artist statement, and the professional photos I had shot opening night, and a video of my of my artist talk will all serve as the perfect way to introduce my art to the long list of gallerists, curators, and museum directors being created this very minute by my new Committee of Champions.

In order to strike while the iron is HOT! over the next 6 weeks I will need to step away from my studio practice and perform a deep dive into administrative work. This $1,700 extension will cover my living expenses and pay for the editing of my artist talk video.

Lend a Hand

Please consider donating. A contribution of any amount will go a long way, even five dollars for a cup of coffee.

And for anyone who wishes to make a deeper investment: when I signed the contract to produce this show thirteen months ago, I looked for ways to generate income via creating art that was not as time consuming as my steel wire portraits. My series 'Ode to a Watering Hole' is the result of this search. You can see the series and read about its inception here https://www.noahjamessaunders.com/ Each work sells framed for $750, below are the ones currently available. If you are inspired by this idea and either do not yet see the one right for you or would like to reserve one via a payment plan, please contact me and we can talk.
